What did you like about the book? In this reassuring back to school story, a little yellow bus readies for the first day of school. Ben the bus driver does all the safety checks: “He measures the air in Busy Bus’s tires. Psssssss! He fills Busy Bus’s tank with gas. Gussshhhh!” All is finally good to go, but Busy Bus is worried. Just like the children who will ride with him, Busy Bus worries about being homesick or not making any friends. But once the children climb aboard, Busy Bus knows it will be a great year. The illustrations, rendered with lino prints and black ink and colored digitally, perfectly complement the story with bright primary colors. A perfect back to school read aloud.
