What did you like about the book?   In this new Santa Mouse story, the little mouse tries to help out around the North Pole.  Unfortunately, the toys he makes are too small and he is not good at wrapping gifts.  Luckily Santa finds the perfect job for Santa Mouse – decorating the Christmas tree.  The illustrations, based on the originals, are appealing and expressive. The paperback book includes punch-out glossy cardboard ornaments.  A cute story for fans of Santa Mouse.

Anything you didn’t like about it? The rhyming text can often be forced, much like the original.

To whom would you recommend this book?  Hand this to readers who enjoyed Santa Mouse.

Who should buy this book?  Public libraries and elementary school libraries

Where would you shelve it? Picture books

Should we (librarians/readers) put this at the top of our “to read” piles?  No
