What did you like about the book?  This is a cute story about a little girl, Tessa, who’s been in ballet class for a month and thinks she’s the best in the class. Always seeming to be outshined by her big sister, Maya, (who’s been doing it longer), Tessa gets upset when Maya gets the lead in the upcoming recital. But Maya, notices that Tessa excels at freestyle dancing and asks for tips while reminding Tessa, that Maya didn’t get the lead when she first started and that the bumble bees in the recital are important too. In the end both girls do well in the show and have fun doing it. I love the care Maya shows for her little sister in bolstering her spirit.
