What did you like about the book? The older monkeys warn the younger monkeys about not getting down from the trees, in order to not get chased by tigers. However, the younger monkeys love a good adventure and instead make up a plan to get down from the trees and go eat the mangoes. The first time they did not run into any tigers and the excitement of that moment dared them to go down again to get more mangoes; however, they ended up running into their friendly tiger friends. This is a funny story about having a little bit of mischievous fun. The book is written in Spanish; quizás translates as “maybe”.

Anything you didn’t like about it? No. I would love to read the English translation as I did have to have someone translate the story for me!

To whom would you recommend this book?  This is perfect for the silly 3-year-old who is at the stage where they are learning to make fun of things and are becoming their own little comedians.

Who should buy this book? Early learning centers and daycares

Where would you shelve it? Picture books or if you have a Spanish section, put it there.

Should we (librarians/readers) put this on the top of our “to read” piles?  Yes
