What did you like about the book?   Bright illustrations and smiling animals invite the reader to “Hop aboard!”  Each double page spread shows a large group of familiar animals riding on a smiling anthropomorphic vehicle.  Beginning with “Hop aboard the baby boat!” little ones are encouraged to board a baby car, plane, truck, bus, bike, and train.  The final page has readers blasting off aboard a baby rocket with a large mirror.   The text includes a variety of sound and action words that will encourage little ones to join in the story: “vroom vroom!, honk honk!  choo choo! And zooooom!”  A fun choice for little ones.

Anything you didn’t like about it? No

To whom would you recommend this book?  This would be a fun participatory story to read at a baby and toddler story time.  Share it with babies and toddlers who like vehicles.

Who should buy this book?  Public and pre-school libraries

Where would you shelve it? Picture books

Should we (librarians/readers) put this at the top of our “to read” piles?  No
