What did you like about the book? During times where there are still travel restrictions, this series does an excellent job of introducing children to not only general facts about different countries but also various cultural traditions as well. Most books on travel really only give students general geographical information but this series first and foremost introduces places in both Colombia and Lebanon that do not traditionally get covered in children’s picture books. In both books readers are first given a map that features key icons of that country and information about the capital, main languages, currency, and population. After these first two pages, readers will visit different villages and towns in the countries and learn about their traditions and history. The series is also a look and find as readers are encouraged to find a set of items on each page. The illustrations are the best part of this series. They are colorful renditions of the places and things spoken about on those specific pages. The cartoon illustrations are very accurate in their portrayal of the colors, places, and people of Colombia and Lebanon.
