What did you like about the book? This book’s fun and lively illustrations tell the story of Grub, a lonely raccoon in search of food and Seed, a glowing green seed that is stuck in the trash, hoping someone will plant him in the ground. Grub is intrigued that maybe if he plants Seed, then he could grow cheeseburgers, his favorite food. He plants Seed right away and dreams of cheeseburger plants… Grub patiently waits for Seed to grow and they spend every evening together. Grub tells stories and Seed shares about all the interesting things he sees down in the earth. Slowly, Seed begins to grow and grow and one day blooms into a flower. Not a cheeseburger to Grub’s dismay. Then after a bit of reflection, Grub tells Seed that flowers are good and special just like cheeseburgers.
