What did you like about the book?   This board book edition brings the bedtime story to younger readers.  It is nighttime and all the woodland animals are sleepy – the mice, the hares, the deer and even Great Big Bear.  Little Bear is not sleepy and wants to play, but no one will join in.  When Little bear is finally sleepy, Great Big Bear carries him home to bed.  Along the way they pass by the other animals sleeping: “the mice are asleep/ they snore/…zzz/and sigh sss…/goodnight mice.”   The text includes a variety of fonts in varying sizes and the circular narrative is soothing.  The digital illustrations perfectly convey the bedtime vibe in evening tones of blue and purple that deepen as the story proceeds.  A lovely addition to bedtime stories.
