What did you like about the book?   Everyone’s favorite curmudgeon, Bruce the bear is back.  Bruce’s fun cousin Kevin sends him a letter about coming for a visit.  Unfortunately, the geese eat the letter.  After a day of Bruce saying no to fun, Bruce’s family wish that Bruce would be more cheerful, more adventurous and have more pizzazz.  When Bruce heads out the next morning, he leaves a note that is eaten by the geese.  So when Kevin arrives, everyone thinks that their wishes have come true.  At first, all is great with this new fun Bruce.  But as the fun gets out of hand and becomes dangerous, Bruce’s family misses the old grumpy Bruce.  Luckily, Kevin takes off with his buddies just as Bruce arrives home.  Feeling badly about squashing the fun the previous day, Bruce offers to have some fun, but his family screams in horror.  Arriving home to see what the day of fun has done to his house, Bruce is quickly back to his grumpy self and his family is happy. The illustrations are full of fun and expression.  This is a fun story about being careful what you wish for.
