What did you like about the book? Magnus Bane and his partner Alec Lightwood are settling into life with their adopted baby Max, after defeating an attempt by Shinyun Jung to bring Asmodeus, the Prince of Hell to power. So Magnus is shocked when Shinyun shows up in his home along with his presumed dead mentor Ragnor. They are seeking The Book of the White to raise Sammael, the father of all demons. Magnus, who has been stabbed with a Sventhorn, which leaves a glowing hole in his chest, gathers his friends to follow the pair to Shanghai. But first, Alec and Magnus must find a babysitter to care for Max, a baby warlock who cannot control his magic. Filled with action, humor, romance and magic, this latest in the Shadowhunters series does not disappoint.
