What did you like about the book:  A beautiful story of a young boy looking for something for breakfast with his grandmother.  The simple text and softly detailed illustrations take you out to the farm in search of a few things.  First, he goes through the gate, then comes upon the truck, a tractor, a haystack, a cow, a sheep, and a pony.  Eventually, he ends up at the hen house and finds two eggs for breakfast to share with his grandmother.

Anything you didn’t like about it?  No

To whom would you recommend this book?   A wonderful read aloud for grandmothers to share with their grandchildren or an introduction to farm animals for young readers.

Who should buy this book?  elementary schools, home and public libraries

Where would you shelve it ?  Picture books

Should we (librarians/readers) put this on the top of our “to read” piles? yes
