What did you like about the book? Hettie the polar bear loves hats. She has hats in all colors, shapes, and styles but she doesn’t like to share them. When Puffin comes along and wants one of the hats, Hettie goes to great lengths to avoid having to hand one over. After many persistent attempts, Hettie and Puffin work out a trading agreement that suits both just fine, and a new collaboration is forged. Light rhyming and rhythmic text is punctuated by vibrant illustrations creating a fun-loving story about sharing and caring even when it seems difficult to imagine.

Anything you didn’t like about it? No

To whom would you recommend this book?  This book is perfect for reading aloud.

Who should buy this book? Pre-schools, daycares, public libraries, and primary elementary classrooms

Where would you shelve it? Picture books

Should we (librarians/readers) put this on the top of our “to read” piles? Not necessarily, however, it is a cute story.
