Format: Board book

Rating: 1-5 (5 is an excellent or a Starred review)   4

What did you like about the book:   A fun shapes & patterns story in Spanish & English.  It begins with a line and a stripe pattern, a square and a checkered pattern, a rectangle and a herringbone pattern, triangles patterns, a rhombus and a harlequin pattern, a hexagon and a honeycomb pattern, a circle and a polka dots pattern, a zigzag and a chevron pattern, hearts patterns, a wave and a scallop pattern, and star patterns.  The colorful illustrations and simple text are sure to entertain young readers over and over.

Anything you didn’t like about it? No.  Although on the cover it says it is a ‘lift-the-flap’ book and it is not.

To whom would you recommend this book?  A great read aloud to share with little ones learning shapes and patterns and to speak English and Spanish.

Who should buy this book?  Preschools, day cares, home and public libraries

Where would you shelve it ?  Board books

Should we (librarians/readers) put this on the top of our “to read” piles? no
