What did you like about the book? Dog Man is fired from the Police force after digging up the Mayor’s roses and then chewing up his hat.  It is a sad day.  The Chief cannot stop bawling along with the rest of the department.  Lil Petey is determined to get Dog Man his job back – with the help of 80-HD.  Meanwhile Grandpa has invented a personality magnifier that wreaks all manner of evil and mayhem.  It is up to Lil Petey, Petey and Dog Man to stop him.  This may be the best Dog Man yet.  All the forces for good are fighting against Grandpa.  Lil Petey manages to help his sad Papa and Dog Man redeems himself in the eyes of the Mayor.  The illustrations are bold, wacky and colorful – more than up to the standard we have come to love from Dav Pilkey.

Anything you did not like about the book?  No.

To whom would you recommend this book? Not only Dav Pilkey/Dog Man fans should appreciate this book but those who like rather outlandish plots with spectacular characters as well.

Who should buy this book? Elementary schools and public libraries and Dog Man devotees.

Where would you shelve it? Graphic novels

Should we (librarians) put this on the top of our “to read” piles?  Yes, most definitely, if you are a fan of Dog Man – and Dav Pilkey
