What did you like about the book? In this world of COVID-19 what an amazing book to read seeing that we are all stuck in our respective homes and countries. Now more than ever we are relying on books and other resources to allow us to continue “exploring” the world. The book features 15 different historical sites. Some of the cites are the Taj Mahal in India, the Sydney Opera House in Australia and even the Christ the Redeemer statue in Brazil. For each site you get a description of the site, a short story associated with the site and even what to pack in your bag in order to be prepared weather wise for visiting the location. One of the best features of the book is that before you dive into the facts they invite you to “enter” into the site as if you were on a tour! What a great way to bring in some of the aspects of the experience you would’ve gotten in-person. The illustrations are digitized cartoon pictures of the location and the other aspects for each category i.e. illustrations of the things to pack or the short story. This is a really informative book that approaches information telling in a very different way.
