What did you like about the book?  This graphic novel adaption of Bracken’s YA novel of 2010, revolves around a young magician and a weaver.  Fourteen-year-old Sydelle is a talented weaver who is enlisted by Wayland North to mend his magical cloaks.  The two set off on a journey to warn the king of an assassination plot by a dark wizard.  Along the way, the two teens come face to face with dark magic along with unusual and dangerous weather.  Could Sydelle be causing the earthquakes and blizzards and might she have magic herself?  The bright and colorful illustrations are filled with action and expression that complement the tale of an epic journey.  The relationship between the two teens grows throughout their journey from resentment to friendship with perhaps a hint of romance. This is a fun action filled adventure.
