What did you like about the book? This is the ultimate guide for eliminating plastic from your everyday life – for adults as well as for kids.  The book is divided into 16 separate missions (plus a Bonus Mission).  The Introduction urges everyone to be a Superhero by fighting plastic in the oceans and for wildlife.  In Mission 1 you get to know the “bad stuff”, the history of plastic (the first synthetic plastic was created in 1907!) and the meaning of PVC symbols.  Learn to fight plastic in your daily life by examining just what you put into the trash.  Fight plastic in the park, in your backpack (candy wrappers and chip bags), in your lunchroom, at the supermarket, in your kitchen, in your garden, in your bathroom (toothbrushes, toothpaste tubes, liquid soap and shampoo containers), in your toilet (just what do you flush down your toilet?), in your closet, in your sports activities and much more.  Alternatives are suggested with almost all plastic items.  This book is fascinating and an eye-opener as you examine just how much plastic is everywhere in your life!

You can score your success with eradicating plastic from your life by taking the quizzes and enjoying the activities at the end.  Recommended websites are also included.

Anything you did not like about the book?  Both inspiring and practical – this book has it all!

To whom would you recommend this book? Everyone who cares about ridding the world of plastic along with those – maybe especially those – who do not understand just what plastic is doing to the earth.

Who should buy this book? Everyone who cares about ridding the world of plastic along with those – maybe especially those – who do not understand just what plastic is doing to the earth.

It might be most practical to purchase your own copy of this book so that you can consult it whenever you need to.

Where would you shelve it?  363.7

Should we (librarians) put this on the top of our “to read” piles? Yes!
