What did you like about the book:   A fun back to school color celebration.   It is fall and the crayon children are headed to school.  “Waiting for the bus makes me feel school bus yellow.”  Yellow is a bright, happy color.  Blue Violet is a fun, cheerful color.  Macaroni and cheese is a warm, comforting color.  Scarlet is an exciting, vibrant color.   Jungle Green is a cheery, energizing color. ‘What colors do you feel like when you are at school?’  Grab your backpack, work on a group project, enjoy lunch with friends, play catch at recess, and spend time reading and learning in the library before meeting mom at the bus stop.   Celebrate all the colors of going back to school.

Anything you didn’t like about it? No.

To whom would you recommend this book?  A great read aloud for little ones at the beginning of school and to discuss colors and feelings they can represent in stories.

Who should buy this book?  Preschools, day cares, home and public libraries

Where would you shelve it ?  Board books

Should we (librarians/readers) put this on the top of our “to read” piles? no
