What did you like about the book:   Everything!  This is a must have for every elementary school and child with rhyming text and uplifting digitally created illustrations to teach life lessons.   A wonderful book full of so many amazing things- messages to improve lives and achieve goals; a diverse range of kids; colorful, detailed, and  inspiring pages; positive affirmations from end page to end page to remind us that nothing is given, everything is earned; and the game of basketball is beautifully integrated.

“We are family.” “I promise to be the best version of me.” “#StriveForGreatness”

NBA Champion, LeBron James and bestselling illustrator, Nina Mata, are a team extraordinaire.   LeBron’s inspiration for the story comes from his I PROMISE School in Akron, Ohio.  At the back of the book is a note from James and a set of Promises for readers.
