What did you like about the book? In First 100 Words, familiar settings, animals and places are presented in English and Spanish, with each opening showing a different category, such as, sports, nature, and transportation, as well as the characters in all of the Canticos books. In Letters, the cute baby chicks (Nicky, Kiki and Ricky), Sammy the bunny and other re-occuring characters present the letters of the alphabet, with two to nine words per opening, and their translation. Easily identifiable images are portrayed by bright digital art.

Anything you didn’t like about it? The art is commercial looking, as if it belongs on packaging. The back cover contains advertising for the website, where there are free activities and stickers, and also lots of stuff to buy.
