Genre:  Realistic Fiction

What did you like about the book? Grover is sick! This was truly a fun read. We go through all the emotions of being sick as we read about Grover getting over a cold. This book is excellent because it allows kids to see that yes there are things we do not like about being sick. Oftentimes books that address this topic do not address different things such as not finding the right blanket to cover ourselves and how annoying that can be when you do not feel well. Grover also teaches us at the end that staying home and getting rest is the only solution to getting better when we are sick. The book illustrations are digitized images of Grover, his mom and a special visit from Elmo. This is a great book to help kids understand that being sick is icky but when we get better and get to be with our friends is worth the wait! Great book to read during these pandemic times.
