What did you like about the book:  The Cockroach is fun and informative, the story of a ‘Disgusting Critter’ that is sure to engage. A cartoon-like nonfiction early reader full of silly cockroach antics and interesting facts. This the 9th book in the ‘Disgusting Critter’ series with a total of 11 titles. Here you will meet the American Cockroach, Diane, she is oval shaped and flat.  She has wings but almost never flies. A pretty fast runner she can move at speeds up to 3 miles an hour.  She spends her days hidden away and doesn’t like light.  She likes heat and dislikes cold, can be found in houses, restaurants, and hotels.  The cockroach is hard to get rid of and quickly learns how to avoid humans by hiding in small spaces. Cockroaches have been around for over 300 million years.  Young children will be entertained and learn a few things about a disgusting little creature.
