Format: Board book

Rating: 1-5 (5 is an excellent or a Starred review): 4

What did you like about the book? The book introduces various general concepts to early learners;  for example, one page introduces colors. The difference between this book and many books for new learners is that it takes it a little further. For example on the color page kids get to learn about primary colors but then the author does color combinations i.e. yellow and blue make green.  The book truly takes early learning one step further for learners which is amazing that you can use the book at different stages of a child’s life. For instance at 10 months you can just teach the child the different sounds on the sound page. However, once the child is a bit older you can teach the various things that the sounds are associated with for example brmmmmm brmmm is the sound a motorcycle makes. This is an excellent book that can grow with any child learning about their everyday environment.

Anything you didn’t like about it? No

To whom would you recommend this book? The publisher recommends the book for 10 months and up

Who should buy this book? Daycares

Where would you shelve it ?  Board books

Should we (librarians/readers) put this on the top of our “to read” piles? Yes
