Format: Board book

Rating: 1-5 (5 is an excellent or a Starred review)  5

What did you like about the book:  An engaging,  nonfiction exploration of the animals that live in a meadow: bees, butterflies, frogs, spiders, creepy crawlies, ants, and the animals that come out at night.  Each page is filled with fun, sturdy pop-ups and interesting facts to enjoy about what lives in a meadow habitat.

The vibrant, colorfully-illustrated pages enhance learning and make you feel like you are right up close with each of our meadow creatures.  Look for a bumblebee on every page to share fun facts about each animal

Anything you didn’t like about it?  no

To whom would you recommend this book?  A wonderful book to share with little ones that love to explore and are curious about the outdoors.  It is a board book but I plan to share it with my elementary students who love learning about animals and are fascinated with pop-up books.

Who should buy this book?  Preschools, day cares, elementary schools, home and public libraries

Where would you shelve it ?  nonfiction Board Books

Should we (librarians/readers) put this on the top of our “to read” piles? yes
