What did you like about the book? This is a graphic novel adaptation of Marvin Hamlisch’s autobiography The Way I Was. The story follows Marvin from his audition for the Julliard school at age 6 through his rising career on Broadway and in the movies. Readers will get insight into the life of a child prodigy who preferred popular music over classical and forged his own way. Readers who are interested in music as a career will find lots of inspiration.
