What did you like about the book:  Lucy loves to paint with colors until a variety of animals (rabbit, elephant, alligator, chicken, pigs, frog) appear with something to say about her painting that shakes her confidence –  until her cat friend provides encouragement. Lucy finds her way back to enjoying painting and feeling satisfaction in her creations.

To whom would you recommend this book?  A great read aloud for the art teacher to discuss independence and self-expression.

Who should buy this book?  elementary schools and public libraries

Where would you shelve it ?  Picture books
