What did you like about the book? Jack, Maddy and Lilly team up with Zita and Joseph and all their group, both critter and robot to try and stop the Giants from seizing the earth.  Each has their own unique ability and knowledge that they use trying to defeat the enemy.  The Giants have an assortment of menacing creatures to aid them. Hatke’s fantastic illustrations seem alive on the page making the action and the creatures all the more dramatic.  The worlds that Hatke creates also serve as characters. This one is not be missed.  A new adventure is hinted at but this may also be the culmination of both series.

Anything you did not like about the book.  I would have enjoyed it going on for even longer! but this is NOT a drawback.

To whom would you recommend this book? First those who liked the Mighty Jack and Zita the Spacegirl books, and then those who like graphic fantasy novels with lots of unique characters.

Who should buy this book? Public, elementary and middle school libraries and the many individuals who are collecting them.

Where would you shelve it? graphic novels

Should we (librarians) put this on the top of our “to read” piles? Yes.
