What did you like about the book? Small children of various abilities and ethnicities tell readers about their dogs: the fun things, the stinky things and the work required. Simple declarative sentences in the present tense make the book seem like a conversation from kids to readers. The delightful ink and watercolor drawings show adorable kids and adorable dogs of many breeds.
Anything you didn’t like about it? No
To whom would you recommend this book? For families with kids ages 2-5 who enjoy books showing lots of breeds, such as Jim Medway’s Big Dogs, Little Dogs, especially when they would like an understanding of the work required to keep a dog.
Who should buy this book? Elementary school and public libraries
Where would you shelve it ? Picture books
