What did you like about the book?  Big Brown Bear finds a perfect cave in the woods, but somehow it “…just didn’t fit quite right.”  While out strolling Big Brown Bear notices that people also have caves – actually they are garages.  These so-called caves are filled with stuff, so Big Brown Bear helps himself and loads his cave up with all kinds of things found in garages: old appliances, bicycles, boxes and yard tools.  The only problem is there is no room for his friends and Big Brown Bear gets stuck in the cave. His bear friends help him out and they return all the stuff to the humans’ caves. Big Brown Bear snuggles up for the winter with his three bear friends and it finally feels perfect. The digital illustrations are full of color and expression, perfectly complementing the story. This might make readers think about all the stuff we store in our garages!
