What did you like about the book?  Short four line rhymes depict bedtime for some favorite fairytale and nursery rhyme characters. The author is able to capture the essence of the characters and stories through the simple text.  “Rest your head, Little Red. Forget the Wolf. It’s time for bed.” “Go to sleep, Little Bo Peep. Close your eyes and count your sheep.” Some of the rhymes are very silly such as “You’re disarming, dear Prince Charming, but snore so loudly, it’s alarming!” The bright digital illustrations, depicting the characters in a wide variety of skin tones, give the classic tales a modern multiethnic update.  This is a good bedtime choice for children who enjoy fairytales and nursery rhymes.

Anything you didn’t like about it?  No

To whom would you recommend this book? This would be a nice bedtime read aloud.  Pair it with the classic Each Peach Pear Plum by Allen Ahlberg for a fun rhyming story time.

Should we (librarians/readers) put this at the top of our “to read” piles?  No
