What did you like about the book?  Beautiful textured illustrations bring a day at the beach to life for young readers.  The text incorporates counting and identifying different types of shells, making it a great read-a-loud.

Anything you didn’t like about it? No.

To whom would you recommend this book? Toddlers and preschoolers

Who should buy this book? Teachers and Children’s Librarians looking for a good story about shells that incorporates facts into the easy text.

Where would you shelve it? Picture books

Should we (librarians/readers) put this on the top of our “to read” piles?  Definitely a must for a beach or ocean storytime for toddlers and preschoolers.
