What did you like about the book? This latest title in Cassandra Clare’s popular Shadowhunter series picks up right after the events of Lady Midnight. Emma and the Blackthorns have managed to kill the evil warlock Malcolm Fade, but their world is still in danger. The Cold Peace is threatened as the Unseelie King has gained the power to disarm Shadowhunters, while a faction of Shadowhunters called The Clave would like to register all Downworlders, all supernatural beings. The Seelie Queen is willing to come to the Shadowhunter’s aid, but the price she asks is a huge risk. Meanwhile, the Shadowhunters discover that warlocks don’t always stay dead. Amidst the action there are romantic troubles brewing with the love triangle of the half fae/half shadowhunter Mark, Emma’s best friend Cristina and Kiernan, one of the Unseelie king’s sons. Meanwhile “parabatai”, linked warriors, Emma and Julian are fighting their love for one another which is against Shadowhunter law and may unleash a deadly curse Fans of the series will find lots to love and will be eagerly awaiting the third title in the trilogy.
