What did you like about the book?  A bespectacled mouse informs the reader that “This book will not be fun. I’m just going to sit in silence and wait for the book to be over.”  But soon the book is anything but boring as a flying whale floats across the page and eats the mouse’s words.  Then a “…nice, boring worm” turns out to be a “Glow-in-the -Dark Kung Fu Worm” that makes the lights go out turning the pages grayish black.  The mouse carefully crossed through several double page spreads to find a light switch.  Turning it on reveals that the stressed out mouse is now at a giant colorful dance party with all kinds of nonsensical creatures.  But then, the mouse catches the beat and begins to dance.  So he tells the reader “As promised, this book was not fun. Well, it was not fun for YOU.  I had a great time.”  The colored pencil drawings add lots of whimsy and humor to the story.  Readers will enjoy the zany fun.
