What did you like about the book? Timo is a rabbit who loves the fall. He loves picking the apples from his apple orchard as long as they are the ones he can pick without using a ladder. When his friend, Hedgewick, the hedgehog, who is a chef, comes to tell him of his desire to be recognized as a great chef, discovered by the famous Madame LaPointe, the food critic, he convinces Timo to have a Fall Festival for which Hedgewick will create the feast. Timo is a shy rabbit and hates parties but he knows he must do this for his friend. This is one in the series on Timo the Rabbit. All are charming, enhanced by the wonderfully colorful and detailed illustrations by Dean Griffiths.

Anything you did not like about this book? Not a thing.

To whom would you recommend this book? Other books about Timo are Timo’s Garden and Timo Goes Camping.

Who should buy this book? Public and elementary school libraries

Where would you shelve it? Beginning chapter books

Should we (librarians) put this on the top of our “to read” piles? Not quite but a very good choice for those reading beginner chapter books.
