What did you like about the book? What first caught my eye with this book were the adorable illustrations. Everything about them is child friendly and age appropriate for a young toddler. The bear family is going to celebrate little Bear’s birthday and from the start of the day until he finally eats the first slice of cake, he shows that he can do almost everything by himself, with a little help from his mom and dad. It’s a great book for teaching children that they can be independent, but that mom and dad are there to help when the task gets just a little bit too difficult.
Anything you didn’t like about it? I liked everything about this book.
To whom would you recommend this book? This book is perfect for toddlers ages 2-4
Who should buy this book? Public libraries and day cares
Where would you shelve it? Picture books
Should we (librarians/readers) put this on the top of our “to read” piles? Yes
