What did you like about the book?  This is a book that is also a game.  The reader is told to gather random objects, along with the included reusable stickers, and to randomly place the objects on the blank spots scattered throughout the text.  Each time the book is read, a new story can be told.  It begins: “When I woke up this morning, what did I see? A sweet little….(spot) chirping at me.”  The rhyming text takes us through a day of fun from awaking to bedtime.  This is a fun way to spark creativity and storytelling.  The illustrations are bright and complement the text.

Anything you didn’t like about it?  No

To whom would you recommend this book?  This is a fun story to use as a storytelling prompt.

Who should buy this book?  Public libraries and elementary school libraries

Where would you shelve it?  Picture Books

Should we (librarians/readers) put this at the top of our “to read” piles?   No
