What did you like about the book? This book serves as a prequel to the previously published The Girl With all the Gifts. Five scientists and a genius teenage boy, Stephen, are traveling on the Rosalind Franklin over desolated terrain, trying to develop a cure for a mysterious virus that has transformed people into merciless killers. The action is intense filled with a sense of doom and even terror and characters very finely drawn. Finty Williams manages to convey all the dread and fear bringing the story and its characters fully into life.

To whom would you recommend this book? Give this to those who have already read The Girl With the Gifts.

Who should buy this book? Public and high school libraries

Where would you shelve it? Cd audiobooks
