Format: Hardcover

Rating: 1-5 (5 is an excellent or a Starred review) 3

What did you like about the book? The short chapter format allows beginning readers the opportunity to meet nine new special and unique friends. The realistic down to earth adventures  of perfect and imperfect children helps all to identify with them and creates a wonderful human bond. Even the imperfect children are loveable and are normal examples within the broad range of childhood behaviors. I thoroughly enjoyed the last tale of Ethel and her realistic bubble gum dilemma, as she figures out how to solve a difficult problem.

Anything you didn’t like about it? No

Who should buy this book? Elementary School libraries

Should we (librarians/readers) put this on the top of our “to read” piles? No
