What did you like about the book? I thoroughly enjoyed the creative rhythmic flow of the story, that engages children in language throughout the story. The urban setting for a farm, in so many different settings empowers children to create their own farms, small or large. The final page’s culminating message of the Anywhere Farm that encourages community building, sustainability etc. is based on “one farmer –you- and one little seed.

Anything you didn’t like about it? No, I found the creative  illustrations compelling as each page was filled with crisp details. I appreciated the multi generational, multicultural community also.

To whom would you recommend this book? Urban Preschool and elementary school teachers and parents that want to encourage gardens and sustainability .

Who should buy this book? Nature Centers, Preschool and Elementary School libraries

Where would you shelve it ? Picture books

Should we (librarians/readers) put this on the top of our “to read” piles? No
