What did you like about the book?  A little boy tries his best not to yawn because if he does his mom will soon have him tucked into bed.  The boy then gives his tips to avoid yawning including “If someone else yawns…LOOK AWAY!” and staying away from snuggly stuffed animals and bedtime stories about sleepy baby animals.  But yawns can sneak up on you and even as the boy is telling us how not to yawn, he ends up yawning and tucked in bed.  The cartoonish illustrations are full of humor and perfectly complement the text.  A good choice for a bedtime read aloud.

Anything you didn’t like about it? No

To whom would you recommend this book?  This is a good choice for a bedtime story and will most likely summons some yawns from both reader and listener.

Who should buy this book?  Public libraries

Where would you shelve it?  Board Books

Should we (librarians/readers) put this at the top of our “to read” piles? No
