What did you like about the book?  Pom Pom the Panda wakes up in a bad mood and nothing seems to go his way.  “His toothbrush was too scratchy. His washcloth was just freezing.  And he couldn’t do a thing with his hair. “Harrumph!’ said Pom Pom.”  Children will like the repletion of the “Harrumph” on each spread.  Once at school, Pom Pom yells at all his friends to go away, but is sad when they do.  Pom Pom apologizes and joins his friends for a game of tag.  Still when lion catches him and Pom Pom replies with his usual “Harrumph!” The illustrations in bright tones are full of expression and perfectly complement the story.
