What did you like about the book?  This fun read aloud takes place at night in a ten story apartment building.  We start with a little boy being woken up and asking “What is going La La La above my head?”  At the top of the page  the reader sees a pair of striped pants and black and white spats and the legs of a music stand.  Turning the page, the whole answer is revealed, “A man is singing opera above my head.”  The opera singer asks “What is going ma ma ma above my head?”  Each floor finds someone hearing something from the floor above which includes a baby, a sheep, cowboys, a trumpeter, a crow, cheerleaders and cha cha dancers.  The cha cha dancers on the ninth floor hear “BLAH BLAH BLAH” and it turns out to be an old man on the tenth yelling “Go To Bed!”  We hear a light click off and darkness falls.  The illustrations are bright and full of expression and fun.  Children will love trying to guess what is making the noise on each floor from the little slice we see from the floor below.  Lots of fun for a bedtime read aloud.
