Genre: picture book

What did you like about the book? Peg and Cat open up a lemonade stand on a hot day wanting to collect marbles.  But the Teens think that 10 marbles for 1 cup of lemonade is way too much!  Peg lowers the “price” but they still think it’s too much.  Finally, Peg lowers it to 2 marbles for 1 cup and the Teens think this is perfect-  then they text all their friends.  But Peg has a problem- no cups!! She sends Cat on an errand to trade cookies for cups.  By the time Cat gets back, its starting to rain and no one wants lemonade anymore.

This is such a good book involving math and problem solving.  The illustrations are just like the TV show and everyone will love it!

Anything you didn’t like about it?  There is nothing I didn’t like.

To whom would you recommend this book? This is a fun book for kids who love Peg + Cat and for kids who enjoy math and a good challenge.  Books in the same series are a read-a-like but also “Wonder Pets” books by Jennifer Oxley.

Who should buy this book? Children’s libraries

Where would you shelve it? juvenile picture books

Should we (librarians/readers) put this on the top of our “to read” piles? no
