What did you like about the book?  This addition to the popular series gives an overview of Rome’s colosseum.  The book begins with an introduction to the city of Rome and its emperors before giving information on the building of the Colosseum and its history.   Also included are sections with related information including: “Roman Gods,” “Roman Arches,” and “Cemeteries.”  The plentiful line drawing help to bring the ancient world to life.  Includes a “Timeline of the Colosseum”, a “Timeline of the World” and a bibliography.  

Anything you didn’t like about it?  No

To whom would you recommend this book?  This is a good choice for research reports or for readers planning a visit to Rome.  Readers who enjoy tales of Ancient Rome and gladiators would also find a lot to like.

Who should buy this book?  Public libraries and elementary school libraries
