What did you like about the book? I enjoyed the rhymes and simple verses, making a singing song by the end. It was easy to anticipate the rhyme-word, making a fun game on each page. The artwork was lush and very imaginary, creating dreamlike pages, to further a child’s imagination. This book would make a good bedtime book ritual, being reread nightly.
Anything you didn’t like about it? No
To whom would you recommend this book? Parents, grandparents and people who want to expose children to all types of literature, including poetry and verse. It has a lulling quality, great for a “settling -down” bedtime read.
Who should buy this book? Elementary school librarians, parents of pre-reading or early reading level children; older early readers that are bored.
Where would you shelve it ? Picture books
Should we (librarians/readers) put this on the top of our “to read” piles? No
