Format: Hardcover

What did you like about the book? This charming creative book illustrates one of life’s most unexpected challenges.  When life changes one’s perspective, it can also drastically change your life. A simple story, with warm illustrations, demonstrate how a cat, dog, chickadee, squirrel can have their “perfect day” interrupted, but help create a new “perfect day” for the bear. The story would lend itself to good discussions on other people and their perspectives.

Anything you didn’t like about it? Though unrealistic and unnatural, I wished the bear could have shared a bit of the spoils with cat, dog, squirrel and chickadee.

To whom would you recommend this book?  Animal lovers

Who should buy this book? Preschool and elementary school librarians

Where would you shelve it ?  picture books

Should we (librarians/readers) put this on the top of our “to read” piles? No
