Format: Board Book

Rating: 1- 5 (5 is excellent or a Starred review)  3

What did you like about the book?  A springtime storyline about a little duckling is fit to the tune of the Itsy Bitsy Spider.  “The itsy bitsy duckling swam in the waterway. Down came the rain and chased the snow away.” The bright digital illustrations are filled with springlike hues of yellow, purple, pink, green and blue.  The familiarity of the tune will appeal to children.

Anything you didn’t like about it?  The text does not quite flow with the song a few times, but overall it works.

To whom would you recommend this book?  This is a springtime story for babies and toddlers.

Who should buy this book?  Public libraries

Where would you shelve it?   Board books

Should we (librarians/readers) put this at the top of our “to read” piles? No
