What did you like about the book?  A sweet bedtime story in a new board book format.  In rhyming text with pastel colored illustrations, Big Daddy Rabbit and his baby have an evening romp before bedtime.  Along the way they are joined by Owl, Mouse and Bear.  After lots of running and leaping and tumbling the baby rabbit begins to cry.  Big Daddy Rabbit asks, “‘Are you all worn out from that hullaballoo? Maybe it’s time for a hullabaloo.”  The watercolor illustrations have a soft evening feel and make this a perfect bedtime story.  It’s a nice story about a fun and loving father-child relationship.  The soft cover with rounded edges is a nice plus, while the inner board pages are sturdy.

Anything you didn’t like about it?  No

To whom would you recommend this book?  This is a nice addition to bedtime stories for toddlers.

Who should buy this book?  Public libraries

Where would you shelve it? Board Books

Should we (librarians/readers) put this at the top of our “to read” piles? No
