What did you like about the book? Jameson is a little boy who only wears green pants. In them he could do anything. He could dunk a basketball, dive and dance. He was sometimes given pants of a different color but they always ended up elsewhere. When Jameson is asked to be in his cousin’s wedding, he is very excited – until his mother tells him he will have to wear black pants! What to do and how to solve this humongous problem! Jameson is adorable. Everything about him is adorable from his joy of dancing to his anguish over needing to wear black pants. Kraegel’s watercolor and pencil illustrations are wonderful, simple and sparse.

Anything you did not like about this book? One of those very rare perfect ones!

To whom would you recommend this book?

Who should buy this book? Public libraries, day-cares, kindergarten- 1st grade libraries.

Where would you shelve it? Picture Books

Should we (librarians) put this on the top of our “to read” piles? Yes!
