What did you like about the book?   In this board book reprint, Baby Bear and his parents are spending the night with Grandma and Grandpa.  During the night, Baby Bear wakes up and sees his Grandpa in the basement feeding what looks like a fire-breathing dragon.  Grandpa offers milk and cookies and tucks Baby Bear back into bed where he dreams the hungry dragon coming up from the basement.  In the dream Baby Bear offers the dragon milk and cookies, but wakes up crying when the dragon eats them all.  Mama and Papa Bear comfort Baby Bear and assure him there is no dragon in the basement.  Papa Bear takes Baby Bear down to the basement where he sees a wood stove.  All is well and since everyone is up they have milk and cookies.  A comforting story about confronting fears and family love.  Asch’s signature illustrations add to the charm.
